| dc.description | Musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) are conditions and/or injuries that affect the system. locomotor, that is, bones, tendons, muscles, nerves, joints or ligaments and other structures that provide support and stability to the human body, which translate into all types of ailments, from mild and temporary discomfort to irreversible and disabling injuries. In ergonomics, the musculoskeletal disorders that are of interest are those of occupational origin. In this sense, the World Health Organization defines a “work-related” disorder. as that which is produced by a series of factors, among which the work environment and the carrying out the work contribute significantly, although not always to the same extent, to trigger the disease. | dc.description.abstract | Los trastornos musculo esqueléticos (TME) son afecciones y/o lesiones que afectan al aparato locomotor, es decir a huesos, tendones, músculos, nervios, articulaciones o ligamentos y otras estructuras que dan soporte y estabilidad al cuerpo humano, los cuales se traducen en todo tipo de dolencias, desde molestias leves y pasajeras, hasta lesiones irreversibles e incapacitantes. En ergonomía los trastornos musculo esqueléticos que interesan son los de origen laboral. En este sentido, la Organización Mundial de la Salud define un trastorno de “origen laboral” como aquel que se produce por una serie de factores, entre los cuales el entorno laboral y la realización del trabajo contribuyen significativamente, aunque no siempre en la misma medida, a desencadenar la enfermedad.
